Maldives Breakout Festival Final
We will be playing the Maldives Breakout Festival Final on Sunday the 13th of September on the main stage of the 02 Islington Academy. If we win the night we get to go play in front of THOUSANDS in the Maldives, every vote counts so get your asses down there on the 13th!!

Maldives Breakout Festival - 2009 FINALISTS!
Cheers to everyone who came and showed their support at the Islington 02, we're pleased to say that we bashed our way into the final with the most audience votes and BOTH judges votes! All this with a near broken thumb and amps straight out of Van Halens Eruption tour! The final is in September, where two bands go through to play the MASSIVE Breakout festival in the Maldives! We shall keep you posted......

Big shout out to everyone involved in the tour, we had a GREAT week and played some BRILLIANT nights, and met some awesome people along the way! Big cheers to Dave, Gareth, V.T.C, GT, Gaines,The Buccs, Jon, Big Lix and loads of others! Hopefully see you all again VERY soon!

Surface Unsigned Next Round....
Thanks to all who turned up to support us in the first round last week. In a fiercly fought battle between 5 bands for 4 places in the next round(!) Rowse emerged victoriously with their tails firmly between their legs (and then swiftly decided that they'd make rubbish girls so pulled them back out again).

Here's a review of the gig by the organisers...

Alarm bells are ringing, get out of town while you still can, women and children first, Rowse, Rowse, Rowse! In times of extreme anxiety, or maybe your emotions are just running high, you will utter one of these phrases, particularly the latter, as they took to the stage in a whirlwind of romance and betrayal; this is all a metaphor of course, to describe these strange and intense feelings. The music will always speak for itself and Rowse is no exception, your minds are your own and so is the music that's made public. A rock and blues band that brings the country vibe alive, you should see, you should hear, you should know.

Surface Unsigned Festival 09
We are performing in the Surface Unsigned Festival this year which provides great national exposure for unsigned bands. If successful in the initial rounds, bands are showcased at regional and then national level at the O2 Arena. Regardless of the overall 'winner' of the festival, this is a great chance for our music to reach a bigger crowd and for us to play our socks of at some pretty cool venues. This is where we need your help...

The initial rounds of the festival work on a rating system with votes from audiences / judges / bands determining which bands progress to the next stages. Although it sounds like your usual battle-of-the-bands affair, the aim here really is centred on band exposure and not lining promotors pockets. Our first gig is at the Boston Music Rooms, Tufnell Park on Weds 4th March - Please come along and support us!!

Additionally votes can be made by text at any time from now until 11pm on the night of the gig with 10p of every text going to Oxfam. Just text LONDON 6132 to 64343
